Photos from this weekend’s open garden Graceburn in Carnegie, a stunning garden by Phillip Johnson – who won both the Gold Medal and Best in Show at the 2013 Chelsea Flower Show, London. Graceburn is a wonderful example of what can be achieved on a suburban block – weaving sustainable gardening practices, great water use, vegetable and fruit trees, as well as a glorious billabong water feature and native plans into a space of great beauty, tranquility and inspiration.
This Open Garden is supporting Make Do Tell our upcoming project with the street children of Nepal. We enjoyed meeting Phillip and hearing about his winning entry and chat with the Queen, as well as the chat with the visitors to the garden and thank you for your support of our project, especially Rosie and James, the owners.
Don’t forget, we are aiming to raise $6500 for our visit in Jan/Feb next year. Please donate …. every bit helps! You can contribute on line to Make Do Tell via our crowd-funding campaign.
